Nigerian music producer Young D and Grammy award-winning violinist, Miri Ben-Ari, also known as AfroStringz, have released their first single ‘She Don’t Know’.

The track is Afrostringz’s unique sound with a blend of Afrobeat, bringing together a fusion of African music with string sounds.

Speaking on their unique sound and the latest song in a press release, Afrostringz said: “We are the first artist group to combine African music and violin as a ‘sound’. It is a powerful multicultural experience, whether in the studio or live performance, that has no limits. This is the power of music. AfroStringz represents a philosophy – mixing the rhythm of Africa with the sound of Stringz to create harmony through music and bridge between communities.”

The song is about the girl next door and a boy that secretly developed a crush on her, but “She Don’t Know” about his special feelings for her. It is accompanied by a music video which captures moments of secret love between five people who hang out in the NY dance studio. The music video cameos are played by dancer Royal Gale, DJ Buka and music artist Nestreya.

According to the press release, AfroStringz will be releasing more original productions and remixes, including an upcoming collaboration with rap artist Fetty Wap. The new single, ‘She Don’t Know’ is the premiere single off their Afrostringz EP scheduled for release in 2021.

The group has performed for the United Nations ambassadors and at the African Entertainment Awards in the United States.
