If there is anything I have learnt through my years on social media, it is to always calm down and critically analyze things before drawing conclusions.
You don’t just jump to post or comment, you are not Daniel Regha.
Firstly, if you watch that video (on America Got Talent), Josh 2 Funny came out three different times as three different characters to perform.
Do you in your right mind think that the organizers didn’t know it was him? So, why did they let him keep coming back after he was initially rejected?
Secondly, America’s Got Talent is strictly by invitation. You must have sent your content and if they find you worthy of invitation, they will call you and foot your expenses.
Do you in your right mind think that AGT will waste their time and money to invite someone all the way from Nigeria, only to end up performing nonsense for them?
Think, guys. Think for a moment.
The whole thing was scripted.
Josh 2 Funny was knowingly invited and paid handsomely to make a caricature of himself, so he could give buzz to the show.
After like three or four seasons, a lot of people get bored of watching TV shows, especially the one that has to do with talent.
Check Project Fame. Gulder Ultimate Search, Maltina Dance Hall and the like. What do you think killed those shows?
Lack of buzz and viewership.
That is why you see viral clips of people coming to show ridiculous talents that wind up making you laugh at their idiocy.
And you keep wondering if they actually came all the way from their house to perform nonsense for the judges.
No!
They were paid to do that! Those viral clips are scripted to give the show buzz and popularity.
As for America’s Got Talent, the show has seen a steady decline over the years.
And what more way could they ask for popularity, other than contracting Josh2funny who goes viral with his content, to come make a mock performance for them?
Which is working as it stands, because everyone is talking about Josh’s performance, thereby creating the much needed buzz for the show.
It’s purely business.
So, no. Josh 2 Funny didn’t go to AGT to show his talent. He was paid to give the show some buzz. He didn’t waste an opportunity either.
Before you come to social media to give your opinion, always think critically, so you don’t become the favourable conclusion needed by organizers seeking to use you as lab rats for their experiments.
