It is official; frontline tourism promoter, arts afolicionado and founder of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Lagos, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, is now a traditional chieftancy holder in Ivory Coast.
All roads led to the Zuenoula Region of the beautiful West African country penultimate weekend when Akinboboye was decorated as a honorary chief and cultural leader in that part of the country.
The Ondo State-born tourism promoter was decorated with 10 different chieftaincy titles, covering over 150 villages in the Zuenoula region of the country.
Akinboboye has been involved in culture and tourism initiatives, which have encouraged bilateral cultural promotions between Nigeria and Cote divorce.

In 2018, he personally sponsored scores of young Ivorian creative entrepreneurs on a training to La Campagne Tropicana in Lagos. The initiative had the endorsement of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
It is expected that his latest honour will berth further collaborations between the two countries in the areas of arts, culture, tourism and creative economy.
