Nigeria’s top music celebrity, Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has added a feather to her beautiful cap.

On Monday, March 9, she unveiled her new pet project, a music foundation that will train and empower scores of Nigerian youths.

At the classy event was the Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the state’s Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, who were joined by other distinguished guests at the unveiling and official launch of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation.

The event held at the Delborough Hotel,m in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The initiative was founded by Tiwa, who is regarded as the Dame of Afrobeats, in collaboration with Berklee College of Music, where the popular singer herself graduated in 2007.

The Foundation aims to empower emerging African creatives by providing access to world-class music education, mentorship, and professional training.

As part of the Foundation’s inaugural programme, “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program,” 100 participants have been selected and will receive hands-on training in music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and other key aspects of the music industry.

The programme is scheduled to take place in Lagos from April 23 to April 26, 2026.

Although the programme is tuition-free, participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodation within Lagos. Applications remain open until March 20, 2026.
