TheatreMania Africa, a leading proponent of arts development, theatre and culture has announced a collaboration with Corona Secondary School, Agbara, for the Generation Next Theatre (GNT) Initiative.
This ‘2-in-1’ project, according to the organisers of TheatreMania Africa, is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional excellence in the creative arts.
The initiative kicks off on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 4:00 pm with the Master Circle, an intensive mentorship session. This will be followed by the grand stage production of ‘Whispers 4.0’ on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 4:00 pm.
Leading the mentorship and performance sessions are distinguished industry players including Dr. Sam Uche Anyamele, Bukola Thomas, and Tomiwa Songonnuga. They will be joined by corporate leaders and creative experts such as Julius Olaolu Oyekanmi (MD, Finnova Tech), Alayande Stephen T.,(CEO, TheatreMania Africa), Paul Uwagbai, Founder, Black Image Theatre and Dr. Ochuko Odesa, who will provide a multidisciplinary approach to student development.
“The GNT Initiative is more than just a performance; it is a laboratory for the next generation of African storytellers,” said Alayande Stephen, Producer and CEO of TheatreMania Africa. “By bringing industry players into the school environment, we are ensuring that these students receive practical, quality guidance that transcends the classroom.”
All is set for the students of CSS, Agbara to experience a creative immersion of the Stage Production and well curated Mentorship Session. This initiative is part of the build up activities for TheatreMania Africa Festival (TAF) 2026.
Dr. Sam Uche Anyamele added: “Art is a tool for social engineering and personal growth. I am thrilled to be part of a project that prioritizes the mentorship of young minds, helping them find their voices through the discipline and magic of the stage.”
