Nigerian music stars – Tems, Burna Boy, Pheelz and BNXN all made it to former United States President Barack Obama’s 2022 summer playlist.

The former US President compiles a list of some of his favorite songs around the world annually.

“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.

” Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?” he captioned a picture on twitter.

This year’s summer playlist includes singles by some of Nigeria’s finest acts.

Foremost on the list is ‘Vibe Out’ by Tems, Burna Boy’s hit single ‘Last Last’ and Pheelz and BNXN’s (fka Buju) ‘Finesse’.

In 2020, Wizkid’s award-winning ‘Essence’ featuring Tems made the list of Obama’s favorites.

While in 2019, Burna Boy’s “Anybody” and Rema’s “Iron Man” were featured on the list.
