Asake, a Nigerian international superstar, has established himself as one of Afrobeats’ most consistent hitmakers, and his music has received numerous accolades.

Asake has released a new track ‘Active’ featuring American hit-making rapper and producer Travis Scott, ahead of the release of his third album ‘Lungu Boy’.

The song, which was released on August 7, combines era-defining Amapiano log drums with Dance elements, resulting in an upbeat party-starting hit.Asake has revealed the tracklist for his third album, “Lungu Boy,” which will contain guest performances from Wizkid, Central Cee, Stormzy, and Ludmina.

Asake recorded ‘Only Me’ and ‘Wave’ with Central Cee in 2024, both of which are on the album ‘Lungu Boy’.

The record is released ahead of Asake’s next ‘Lungu Boy’ tour, which will include dates at the legendary O2 Arena, which he previously headlined in 2023, and the iconic Madison Square Garden, making him only the fourth Nigerian musician to headline the arena.

Asake’s upcoming album will be his third in three years, continuing his era-defining smash streak.

Since emerging into the mainstream, Asake has been steadily ascending. At the 2023 Headies Awards, his debut album ‘Mr. Money With The Vibes’ won Album of the Year. His second album, ‘Work of Art,’ featured the hit track ‘Lonely At The Top,’ which holds the record for the longest charting song on the TurnTable Top 100.
