Phyna Wins BBNaija ‘Level Up’ Edition, Picks N100m Grand Prize

Big Brother Naija housemate, Josephine Ijeoma Otabor (Phyna), has won Season 7 of the 10-week reality TV show.

After 72 days and four other housemates evicted from the show during the finale, the last two housemates standing were Phyna and Byran.

The housemates evicted during the finale last night, Sunday, were Daniella, Chichi, Adekunle, and Bella.

Earlier, Big Brother, in his final address had said: “the world now awaits you. You may now leave the Big Brother house.”

Edo State-born Phyna will be walking home with a ₦100m grand prize— a cash prize of ₦50m and ₦50m worth of prizes (including a trip for two to Dubai) from the show’s sponsors.

Also, 30 of the show’s fans won themselves ₦1m each in the ‘Fave Lock-In’ promo exclusive to DStv and GOtv customers.

24 housemates were placed in two houses for this season. The first 12 housemates were placed in the Level Two house, while the second 12 who were introduced on Sunday were placed in the Level One household.

The 25-year old Phyna was famous in the House for her street lingo like ‘Who Dey?’ and is suspected to have had an under-the-sheet entanglement with another housemate, Groovy.

Both had a deep kiss after Phyna, a comedienne, hype-woman and aspiring actress, was announced as winner by the show’s host.

She has joined others like Whitemoney, Leycon, Mercy, Miracle and Katung to emerge the overall winner of what is undoubtedly Africa’s most popular reality TV show.

The programme broke records this year with 40,000 people that auditioned; one billion votes and the highest social media engagement in the show’s seven-year history.
