The fourth edition of Owambe Fest delivered an unforgettable celebration of Nigerian comedy, music, fashion and culture as hundreds of guests gathered at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Milton Keynes on July 18, 2026, for what organisers described as the first UK edition of the annual event.
Presented by CLAP 2026 in partnership with Blue Republic Africa, the event marked a significant milestone in the evolution of Owambe Fest.
What began as a comedy show has grown into an immersive cultural experience that combines stand-up comedy with the vibrancy of a traditional Nigerian owambe celebration, creating an atmosphere where entertainment, fashion, food and community come together.
Hosted by renowned comedian Bigjohny Da Talkative (Ojiebun John Taiwo), the event transformed the venue into a colourful display of Nigerian heritage, with guests embracing the Aso Ebi dress code in elegant traditional outfits that reflected the rich diversity of Nigerian fashion.
The evening featured appearances from Faloh Jagaban and Eti Oba, adding even more excitement to an already star-studded lineup.
Comedy remained at the heart of the celebration as some of Nigeria’s finest entertainers took to the stage. Performances from Remote, Larry J, MC OJB, Woli 3310, Forelines, Cris Da Lecturer, MC Sober, and MC Sege kept the audience laughing throughout the night with a mix of observational humour, cultural storytelling and audience interaction.
Beyond the comedy, live music added another dimension to the celebration. Aridunnu and the Oluwajuwonlo Band thrilled guests with energetic live performances, while saxophonist SKJ delivered soulful melodies that complemented the festive atmosphere. DJ Atech ensured the celebration continued between performances, keeping the dance floor alive with a blend of Afrobeats, highlife and contemporary Nigerian hits.
More than just an entertainment event, Owambe Fest offered attendees an authentic taste of Nigerian culture. Guests enjoyed traditional cuisine, celebrated in coordinated Aso Ebi attire and experienced the warmth and communal spirit that define Nigerian parties, making the festival a cultural showcase as much as a comedy event.
