Tanzanian Afro dancehall group, Navy Kenzo, has announced the release of their second album, ‘Story of The African Mob’.

According to a statement released by the group last Thursday, the album will be available for presave from July 24, 2020 and preorder on July 31 on Apple music, Spotify, Tidal and Deezer.

“Story of an African Mob is a journey of creative expression that Navy Kenzo have embarked on along with an impressive line-up of collaborators,” the statement read.

The 12-track album expresses and celebrates the fashion, art, creativity and unique stories of African
people. It is centered around a combination of Afrobeats sounds in fusion with Jazz, R&B and Hip hop instruments.

The album features prominent artistes from across the continent including King Promise, Mugeez, MzVee, Tiggs da Author and Nandy. It also enlists Tanzanian music industry newcomers; the Great Eddy and Genius Jini, winner of the Why Now Audiomack contest.

Produced by Nahreel and other impressive line up of producers, the album is a fusion of Afro Caribbean melodies marinated in Swahili context.
