American actress and singer, Selena Gomez has revealed that her womb can’t carry children due to health issues.

The superstar, who suffers from bipolar disorder and the autoimmune disease lupus, explained that carrying a child in her womb would endanger her life.

“I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she stated in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.

Selena also revealed that she plans to keep her last name when she gets married.

“I am Selena Gomez. That’s it,” she said.

In 2015, Selena took a break from her career to deal with anxiety and depression stemming from her lupus diagnosis. She also underwent a kidney transplant in 2017 – also a result of lupus.

Selena who was recently declared a billionaire by Bloomberg, is currently dating record producer Benny Blanco.
