Museum Association, a dynamic global membership organization and a vibrant network for everyone working in museums and heritage has announced that it will be hosting an online event to discuss how museums can become truly inclusive spaces and representational platforms.
The virtual event will take place on May 26 May 2022 on the Zoom platform.
Themed, Inclusive: Championing Accessible Museums, the event hopes to through provocations, case studies, and panel discussions explore how museums can become truly inclusive spaces and representational platforms, and champion equality at every level.
The event is designed for anyone who is working towards diversity and inclusion at a museum or relevant organization.
Speakers at the event include Sam Bowen, Chairperson, SEND in Museums Campaigner, Esther Fox, Head of the Accentuate Programme, and Carl Newbould, Learning Officer, Leeds Museums & Galleries.
Others include Chloe Hixson, Access Consultant, and Justine Reilly, Director, The Neurodiverse Museum.
