Miss Jamaica, Toni-Ann Singh, has been crowned the 69th Miss World beauty pageant winner at this year’s edition of the global pageantry.
The competition which took place at the Excel Convention Center in London had top 12 women from France, India, Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria, Russia, among others compete for the highly-coveted pageantry crown.
Miss France, Ophely Mezino and Miss India, Suman Rao, emerged first and second runners-up, respectively.

Singh is the fourth Jamaican to have won the Miss World title after Carole Joan Crawford (1963), Cindy Breakspeare (1976) and Lisa Hanna (1993).
The Florida State University graduate of women studies and psychology also thrilled the audience with an amazing rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘Don’t Walk Away From Me’.
Miss World Pageant is one of the four major global beauty pageants with contestants from about 111 countries competing in different categories to secure a place during the televised stage of the competition.
With her coronation, Singh now joins an historic league of black women alongside Zozibini Tunzi (Miss Universe), Cheslie Kryst (Miss USA), Nia Franklin (Miss America) and Kaliegh Garris (Miss Teen USA) who all won top global beauty pageants this year.
