The 19th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM), scheduled to run from November 24 to December 02, will include ten sessions featuring renowned figures in cinema from around the world as part of the “In Conversation with…” program, one of the festival’s most highly anticipated events.

Describing it as a flagship program of the Marrakech International Film Festival, the organizers stated in a press release that the “In Conversation with…” series offers audiences the unique opportunity to meet some of the biggest names in cinema worldwide. They added that ten prominent figures from world cinema, spanning five continents, are expected to participate in the program this year in Marrakech.

Actors, directors, screenwriters, and producers have been invited to engage in diverse discussions with festival audiences, covering a wide spectrum of topics, from entertaining anecdotes to profound conversations about their views and experiences in the industry.

These conversations, which are anticipated to be both enriching and captivating, will include the participation of Australian actor and director Simon Baker, Moroccan director Faouzi Bensaïdi, who will be honored at the Festival, French director Bertrand Bonello, American actor Willem Dafoe, and Indian filmmaker and producer Anurag Kashyap, according to the same source.

Additionally, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, recipient of the Festival’s Golden Star, American-Danish actor and director Viggo Mortensen, Scottish actress Tilda Swinton, and Russian director and screenwriter Andreï Zvyagintsev will also be part of these sessions.
