Lagos Govt Asked Me To Pay N36m As Income Tax – TikToker Peller Laments

Popular TikTok personality Peller has lamented over the excessive taxes allegedly levied on him by the Lagos State Government.

During a recent livestream featuring singer Peruzzi, Peller said the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service asked him to N36 million as income tax.

“Taskforce said I should pay N36 million for tax. I don’t have anything. I just came into the limelight last year,” he lamented.

“Why haven’t you paid your taxes? Do you know you’re supposed to pay tax as a Nigerian? Do you know how much I pay as tax? I won’t mention it here but it’s more than the tax bill they gave you,” Peruzzi said.

The singer advised him to settle the tax bill to avoid being jailed.

However, Peller insisted that the tax bill was outrageous, stressing that the government has never gifted him during any of his TikTok live sessions.

He also claimed that the government is taxing him because he flaunted his assets and revealed his TikTok income.

Peruzzi urged him to plead for more time to enable him sort the tax bill, but Peller insisted that he makes his money from social media and not from Nigeria.
