Janet Jackson’s Famous Family Reunites For Milestone 60th Birthday Party

It’s the Janet Jackson rhythm nation, and we’re all just lucky to be living in it! On May 16, Janet celebrated her milestone 60th birthday.

But the festivities actually began earlier in the month, with Janet reuniting with members of her family and her friends for a party that she later shared glimpses from on social media (which you can watch in the video above).

Janet’s family members also came through to cheer her on, with the video capturing her sisters Rebbie and LaToya Jackson in attendance, plus friends like Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Tasha Smith, and many more.

“You have all made my 60th so special. Every single post, tribute, and wish touches my heart.”

The “Escapade” singer was presented with a classic single tier sheet cake with pictures of her throughout the years, and written in icing “Aged in Perfection,” plus a sash to wear that read “Sixtylicious,” followed by dancing and drinks with an in-house DJ, too.

When attendees started singing “Happy Birthday” to her, she actually made them switch over to the version made most popular by Stevie Wonder, aka a third cousin of the Jackson siblings.

“I’m so grateful for the outpouring of love today,” Janet wrote alongside the clip. “You have all made my 60th so special. Every single post, tribute, and wish touches my heart.”

“I thank God for every additional day of life and for putting each of you in it. Wishing you all returned blessings & I look forward to seeing you soon. I love you,” she concluded. Celebrity fans and friends like Naomi Campbell, Solange Knowles, Kylie Minogue, Teddy Riley and more chimed in with birthday wishes of their own.
