Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani recently met with a delegation of Egyptian and Saudi businessmen. During the meeting, he encouraged them to invest in tourist resorts, hotels, and recreational facilities across Iraq.

Al-Sudani emphasised that Iraq boasts diverse tourist destinations and its development aligns with the economic interests of other Arab countries. The government is actively promoting investment opportunities, particularly in the housing sector and new city projects. With a need for approximately 3 million housing units, Iraq is moving toward building integrated cities that offer various services, entertainment, and commercial facilities, all connected to the capital, Baghdad, through an advanced transportation network.

Al-Sudani highlighted that modern cities play a crucial role in addressing the housing crisis, especially for low-income populations.

The delegation included the Chairperson of TMG Hisham Talaat Moustafa, Chairperson of Al Muhaidib Group Sulaiman A. Al Muhaidib, CEO of the group Issam Abdul Kadir Al Muhaidib, Development Manager of the group Raed Ibrahim Al-Medhaim, Director of Al-Maysarah group Yasser Qasim Zaghir, and businessman Ahmed Talaat Hani, all of whom specialise in real estate development and establishing integrated and smart residential cities, in the presence of the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz bin Khalid Al-Shammari.
