The Nigerian film industry continued to thrive in 2026, with female filmmakers playing a significant role in its growth.

From blockbuster cinema releases to highly successful YouTube productions, these producers captivated audiences with compelling stories, outstanding production values, and innovative filmmaking.

Their work not only entertained millions but also strengthened Nollywood’s reputation as one of the world’s leading film industries.

Here are the top five female Nigerian producers who released notable films in 2026:

1. Ruth Kadiri:
Ruth Kadiri has remained one of the most consistent producers on YouTube in 2026, releasing several family dramas and romantic films through her RuthKadiri247 channel. Her productions continue to attract millions of views for their relatable storylines, strong casts, and frequent releases.

2. Kie Kie:

Toyin Abraham released a film, Alakada Genz, on YouTube on May 7th, 2026.
