The festival is scheduled for August 25 to 29, 2026.

The call for submission of film entries opened simultaneously with the festival’s release of a list of its 2026 zonal and international coordinators.

Managing foreign film entries in the festival are South African, Nomi Mzamane, Ugandans – Kwezi Patrick, Ashiraf Mulima, and Nakafeero Shamirah Suzan.

KADIFF founder and executive director, Audu Kashim Israel, commended the coordinators for their invaluable contributions to the Nigerian film and creative industry, in particular the festival, stating, “We look forward to a fruitful and successful 9th edition”.

Themed ‘Cultural Renaissance’, the ninth edition of KADIFF welcomes film entries in the following categories: features, shorts, animation, documentaries, experimental, indigenous, student films, and television or streaming platform series.
