From 30th April To 1st May 2022, FEST – Associação Cultural will hold the maiden Film, and Audiovisual Law Conference.
The conference will take place in Espinho, Portugal.
According to the organizer of the conference, as a constantly evolving subject, Law for Film and Audiovisual is continuously adapting to the legislative technological and social evolution in the industry.
The conference is intended for students and professionals on Film and Law, or people interested in the area. Lawyers, law students, paralegals, jurists, magistrates and academics, producers, public and private financiers, directors, and film students.

“It is vital to have the most up-to-date knowledge available, as well as a space to discuss it. Additionally, the conference strongly encourages networking and the Building of Dynamics between producers, lawyers specialized in law of Film and Audiovisual, and other agents present at the event.
The conference will shed light on the new tendencies in Law in Film and Audiovisual and tackle the absence of conferences that address this issue on an international level.
The conference will focus on Film and Audiovisual Law, a keystone proficiency for a sustainable evolution in the film industry still severely under-discussed” the statement said.
Some of the eminent personalities that will speak at the conference include Kami Naghdi; Head, Film and Television practice at Clintons, Rusta Mizani; Head of Business Affairs at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB), Andreas Pense; member of Deutsche Filmakademie and German-French Film Meetings, Frédéric Dumont; a member of the APRAM – Association of Trade Mark and Design Law Practitioners and Nastasja Borgeot.
More speakers are still being expected to be unveiled before the event.
The Film and Audiovisual Law Conference is organized by FEST – Associação Cultural.
FEST – AC has been organizing events of excellence for 16 years, most notably the annual FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival, a well-established and recognized Film Festival that takes place in the last week of June in the seaside town of Espinho in northern Portugal, and is today one of the largest of its kind in the country. The event is one of Portugal’s most international forums, attracting participants from all over the world.
