The Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of Ìsàlè Èkó Descendants’ Union (IDU) have announced that the 2025 Isale Eko celebration will commence on November 30, 2025.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Chairman of the Isale Eko Descendants Union (IDU), Adeniji Kazeem SAN, he urged proud indigenes of Ìsàlè Èkó of all age groups to join and partner with them as they host the event.

The starement further reads: “The Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of Ìsàlè Èkó Descendants’ Union (IDU), an apolitical, socio-cultural organization that exists for the promotion of education, heritage, and oneness of the people of Ìsàlè Èkó, hereby announces its annual Ìsàlè Èkó Day celebration.

“Since 2018, each Ìsàlè Èkó Day Planning Committee has put on display the best of Ìsàlè Èkó: its history, rich culture, food, tradition, and stimulating dialogue at its symposiums as a means to facilitate cultural immersion and awareness, as well as to foster unity among Ìsàlè Èkó indigenes, friends, and the general public.”

Mr. Lawon Adams of Loving Lagos Limited, who has been appointed as the chairman of the planning committee, has been saddled with the responsibility of planning the two-week event.

Some of the major activities that will highlight the celebration, including free health screening, water relief, etc., will be offered at designated points throughout the community as a way of giving back to residents of Ìsàlè Èkó.

Furthermore, according to the statement, there will be a historic Walkabout tour of the heritage sites led by trained tour guides on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
