Grammy-winning music superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is set headline the opening night of Detty December Fest 2026.
The announcement, made by the organisers of the event, Livespot360, revealed that Wizkid will take the stage on Dec.18, marking the beginning of the 13-day festival of music, culture, food, fashion and entertainment in Lagos, which will run until Dec.30.
“Wizkid will headline the main Festival Stage, while the newly introduced Pulse Stage will provide a platform for emerging artists, new sounds and breakthrough talents shaping the future of African music,” the post read.
Building on its 2025 debut that drew over 40,000 festivalgoers, this year’s event continues the Detty December tradition featuring a mix of international and African music stars, including Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Shenseea, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Phyno, Wande Coal, Fave, Young John, Qing Madi, Ice Prince, Jux and Wizkid.
