Celebrities Attend Reception For 17th Headies (Photos)

Cubana Chief Priest, Teju Babyface, and Femi Adebayo were among the notable figures who attended the reception for the forthcoming 17th Headies.

The event, which took place at the US consul general’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos on Thursday evening, celebrated the return of the awards ceremony to Nigeria after two consecutive editions in the United States.

Other prominent figures in attendance include Richard Mills, the US ambassador to Nigeria, and Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Lagos state commissioner of tourism, arts and culture.

Ayo Animashaun, Do2dtun, Ill Bliss, Yaw, Peller, Farooq Oreagba, Joey Akan, Candy Bleakz, Brown Joel, and BBNaija’s Wanni and Handi were also present at the event.

Tagged ‘Back To Base,’ this year’s Headies will be held on April 27, instead of the initially scheduled date of April 5.

The awards ceremony will recognise the outstanding achievements of Nigerian artistes, with Odumodublvck leading with eight nominations. Ayra Starr and Shallipopi followed closely with six nominations each, while Qing Madi clinched five nominations.
