Bruno Mars Shatters Spotify Records With 140 Monthly Listeners

Famous American singer, Bruno Mars, has broken the record for the most monthly listeners on global music streaming platform, Spotify, thanks to his Christmas songs.

Mars’ songs like “White Christmas,” “24k Christmas,” and “That’s Why I Like Christmas” have seen an increase in streams due to the holiday season, boosting his Spotify listeners to a record 140 million.

Similarly, Ariana Grande has broken the record for most monthly listeners for a female artist in Spotify history.


The record was formerly held by Taylor Swift. Grande’a monthly listeners skyrocket to 117.319 million during the holidays, beating Swift’s numbers.

Meanwhile, Spotify has named Burna Boy as the most streamed African artist on the platform in the year 2024.

South African singer, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Rema and Tems were also listed as the African artists with the most streams on the platform globally this year.
