In deepening collaboration between production of movies in Nollywood and Bollywood, the National President of the Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria (AMP) Amb Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson led a delegation to meet High Commissioner of India to Nigeria, His Excellency, Mr. Abhishek Singh and Consul General of India to Lagos, Mr. Chockalingam Kannan at the Indian Embassy in Lagos.

Together with AMP national secretary, Mr. Tony Chukwuma and national vice president, Hon. Shan Walker George, , they discussed collaboration opportunities between Bollywood and Nollywood producers with the aiming of strengthening ties between the creative industries.

”We had a productive meeting and are excited about the potential partnerships,” says Ebigieson. “We will continue to work towards pushing the boundaries of the Nigerian film industry and showcasing our talents globally.”

The association looks forward to fruitful partnership with the Indian film industry.

Bollywood which is the Hindi Cinema, is world’s largest film industry in terms of films produced in India and released each year. Nollywood, is the second-largest in the world in terms of output, turning out over 2,500 movies each year. This amount tops Hollywood and is only surpassed by Bollywood.
