AMAA returns to Lagos for 15th Annual Academy Awards

Lagos will be agog once again as one of the most prestigious film awards is returning to the city after last year’s stint in Kigali, Rwanda.

The annual Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) will hold in Lagos on Sunday. In its 15th year, AMAA is aimed at facilitating the development and relevance of African film and cinema by providing reward and recognition for filmmakers in Africa.

Recall that Nigerian movies, ‘The Delivery Boy’ and ‘King of Boys’ scored the most nominations when the nominees list was released in September.

AMAA is scheduled to hold and aired live on October 27 at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.
