Grammy nominee Ayra Starr just teased the release of her sophomore album, and the video she used can be simply described as cinematic.

It starts with a police officer checking speed limits, and when Ayra Starr and her friends drive by, their speed limits reads at 21.

The police officer stops Ayra Starr and asks for her ID. Once he gets a hold of it, he’s immediately enraptured, as his sight zooms in on her album release date. After that, he hurriedly returns her ID, and she speeds off.

One must agree that the creative team behind Ayra Starr’s album tease did their homework, and the end product was flawless.

It is clear from the video that Ayra Starr’s sophomore album will be titled 21. At some point in the video, she drives past a sign post which read 20.

This won’t be the first time Ayra Starr is using her age in real time as an inspiration for her album name. Her debut album was titled 19 and Dangerous, and she was truly nineteen at the time.

Ayra Starr’s debut album was successful, both within Nigeria and in diaspora. She got to perform a lot of her hit songs at shows that were all successful.

The album also marked the beginning of her trademark mini skirt that has made her stand out from her colleagues.

Beyond wearing mini skirts, Ayra Starr has often been praised for having an amazing vocal range, and catchy lyrics that have been trending among all age groups.

Ayra Starr’s versatility has helped her solidify her place in the music industry, with features from top artists, both in Nigeria and beyond.

Thriving under the tutelage of Don Jazzy, Ayra Starr has won a lot of awards, both in Nigeria, and other African countries. Her impressive talents earned her recognition from the Grammys, and even though she didn’t win, it earned her a huge milestone.
