Lagos is gearing up for another major cultural spectacle as the fourth edition of the Owanbe Jollof Party is set to hold on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Amore Gardens, Lekki Phase 1.
Themed “Jolly Don Set,” this year’s edition promises an expanded and more vibrant experience, according to the organisers. The event, which has grown into a fixture in Lagos’ December social calendar, blends music, fashion, food, and social interaction, attracting both residents and Nigerians returning for the festive season.
Music star 9ice, top disc jockey DJ Neptune, and energetic performer Fujicilogist will headline the night, with Tomiwa Sage announced as the host MC. Organisers say the 2025 instalment will surpass previous editions with improved production quality, heightened creativity, and immersive entertainment.
“The Owambe Party is more than an event; it’s a statement of the Lagos spirit. It’s where people come together to celebrate resilience, community, and pure enjoyment,” the planning team said.
Guests are expected to enjoy a mix of live music, DJ sets, and surprise appearances, set against the backdrop of Lagos’ famously vibrant December nightlife. Fashion will also take the spotlight, with attendees encouraged to turn out in full cultural glamour — from lace and agbada to gele and other traditional ensembles typical of the Owambe aesthetic.
Food vendors will serve a variety of Nigerian favourites, including small chops, party jollof, grilled dishes, pepper soup, and other delicacies aimed at delivering an authentic culinary experience.
Past editions of the Owanbe Jollof Party have drawn celebrities, business executives, influencers, and trendsetters, reinforcing its status as one of the season’s must-attend events. Organisers say this year will also spotlight local entrepreneurs and creative vendors, offering them a platform to showcase fashion pieces, crafts, and artisanal products.
With “Detty December” approaching, anticipation is already building across social media as Lagosians share outfit ideas, make table bookings, and prepare reunion plans for what is expected to be another memorable night of celebration.
