The Best of Ife, an annual arts exhibition will open its 31st edition themed Women of Ife July 19 to 26 at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Lagos Island.

Women of Ife, will honour the silent architects and preservers of heritage, and their contributions to culture and kingdom quietly woven into the fabric of legacy.

Featuring at the exhibition are the multidisciplinary works spanning paintings, sculptures, textile art and digital projections of 14 Nigerian artists Jesudara Hinmikaiye, Ayoola Mudasiru, Kanmi Binutu, Adeoti Azeez Afeez, Titilayo Abdulrazaq, Yusuf Riliwan, Muraina Oyelani, Olubukola Bolarinde, Gbenga Ajiboye, Omoyeni Arogunmati, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Atanda Quadri Adebayo and Adewole Adeniyi.

According to the center, “these works form a living archive that reanimates ancestral presence and redefines what it means to bear witness, endure, and be remembered, while honouring and examining the sacredness of how stories are preserved, whose voices are centered, and how echoes of womanhood continue to shape our futures.”

The exhibition opens 10am to 4pm, daily from July 19 to 26.
