Filmmaker Kayode Peters Laid To Rest In Canada

Renowned Nigerian filmmaker, Kayode Peters has been buried.

Peters was buried on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Canada.

Recall that the 49-year-old died on June 28 after battling an undisclosed illness.


Before he was finally laid to rest in Toronto, a night of tribute was held for him in Lagos and London on July 29.

A trending video on social media captured the moments he was lower into the grave in the presence of his family, colleagues and close associates.
