Whip Media, a leading enterprise software platform and data provider to the world’s largest entertainment organizations, has announced the launch of its commercial service platform that will help buyers and sellers predict demand for TV and film titles.

The platform, named the Whip Media Exchange uses audience behavior data from Whip Media’s TV Time app, which allows users to track what they are watching and has 2.5 million active monthly users across 170 countries.

Leading global buyers and sellers on the Whip Media Exchange include Lionsgate, Pluto TV, Globo, TelevisaUnivision’s ViX, AMC Networks International Latin America, Vodafone Hungary, Tastemade, and Keshet International, among many others.

Gathering insights from that audience behavior, Whip Media then can create its proprietary “demand score” to predict how TV and film titles up for sale may perform.

The key features of the Whip Media Exchange for buyers and sellers include Data-Driven Licensing with Proprietary Demand Scores, Content Planning with Modeled Insights & Research Around Hundreds of Thousands of Film & TV Titles, and Global Connections Between Buyers and Sellers of Content.

Others include; Real-Time Content Rights Availability, Localization & Delivery Partnerships, and Content Listings from Leading Global Buyers & Sellers.

Whip Media used the occasion of the MIPTV – 59th Spring International Television Market held between April 4-6 to showcase the Exchange.

Reacting to the innovation, Richard Rosenblatt, co-founder, and CEO of Whip Media said; “Streaming is drastically changing the way entertainment companies buy and sell content and will further evolve as more platforms expand globally and the demand for local and international content increases.

The rapid adoption of the Whip Media Exchange by some of the largest global media companies speaks to the demand for next-generation data and licensing solutions that solve the challenges faced by buyers and sellers, helping them make the right acquisition and distribution decisions for their audiences.”

On her part, Sherry Brennan, GM, and EVP of the Whip Media Exchange said;

“The Whip Media Exchange brings a comprehensive set of consumer insights and predictive analytics into the licensing decision-making process on a global scale to accelerate deal-making and drive revenue.

“It’s the industry’s first content recommendation engine for buyers and sellers created to meet the needs of a constantly changing marketplace. We bring executives new insights, consistent evaluation tools, and easy access to partners through a single platform.”
