Screen Villain Roles Affected Our Personal Lives – Nollywood Actor Radical

Veteran Nollywood actor, Saba Kamorudeen, popularly known as Radical, has revealed that playing criminal characters on screen has negatively affected his personal life and his relationship with the public.

Speaking during a recent interview, the actor stated that many film viewers struggle to separate an actor’s real personality from the negative characters they portray.

He noted that this misunderstanding often leads to public suspicion against actors like him who frequently play the roles of thieves or criminals.

According to Kamorudeen, this negative perception has made it difficult for actors in his category to receive goodwill, public support, or financial assistance during challenging times.

“People thought we were thieves because of the roles we played in movies. This actually made it difficult for us to get help. Those who played herbalist characters got more help than we did.”
